A Yankauer suction set is used for oral suctioning during medical procedures. Typically, it is a plastic tip with a large opening surrounded by an adjustable head that allows strong attraction without damaging surrounding tissue. A suction tool is used to suction oropharyngeal secretions or to remove fluid, blood, pus and/or gas from wounds or cavities.
